3803934 - [ABAPAdapter] Replication fails after DP agent upgrade to 2.8.2.1 or above with various JCO registration errors - SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

  • After upgrading the SAP Data Provisioning (DP) Agent, data replication from an ABAP source system (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC) fails
  • Replication was working correctly before the upgrade
  • One of the following error appears in the DP Agent framework.trc log:
    • [ERROR] ABAPAdapter | ABAPAdapter$2.serverExceptionOccurred - JCoServer exception for server "sapserver:sapgw<NR>:IM_HANA_ABAPADAPTER_*". The exception : com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (113) JCO_ERROR_REGISTRATION_DENIED: CPIC-CALL: SAP_CMACCPTP3 on convId: LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host <HOSTNAME> / sapgw<NR> ERROR registration of tp IM_HANA_ABAPADAPTER_* from <HOSTNAME> not allowed RC 720
    • [ERROR] ABAPAdapter | ABAPAdapter.startJCoServer - JCoServer instance unexpectedly stopped when requested to start. Thus streaming method of reading tables from ECC will not be available. The dialog mode will be used instead.
