Symptom
For the same Compa-Ratio percentage value, different colors are displayed
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Compensation
- Executive Review > Select the affected template
- Compa-Ratio colors are different for the same value (e.g. for the same "90%" both red and green colors are being displayed)
Cause
There is no issue with the Compa-Ratio color scheme defined under Compensation Home > Settings > Display Settings. Values are not exactly the same.
- Why is that? Because the values for Compa-Ratio actually are not all the same but rather slightly different
- How do is it possible to know that? By changing the defPercentFormat number format to show more decimals
Resolution
In order to avoid any kind of planner's misunderstanding it is recommended to:
- Change the Display Setting to not be defined from "90%" but to a more specific number, such as "89,995%" (numbers exemplified to this specific dummy scenario)
- Or to change the Number Format/Rounding configuration to show more decimals
