3803973 - Users are receiving duplicate update emails when using immediate subscription option in Work Zone

Symptom

Users are getting multiple emails of the same update when immediate subscription is enabled in Work Zone.

Environment

  • SAP Build Work Zone Advanced Edition
  • SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone

Reproducing the Issue

  • Navigate to the Workspace Settings — As a Workspace Admin, open the workspace for which you want to configure the email notification frequency.
  • Access Email Notification Frequency — Go to one of the following paths:
    • During Workspace creation: Set the frequency in the Workspace setup wizard under Participation → E-mail Notifications.
    • After Workspace creation: Go to Edit Workspace → Participation → E-mail Notifications.
  • Select "Immediate" — From the frequency options (Immediate, Daily, Weekly, None), select Immediate to ensure members receive email notifications as soon as an event occurs in the workspace

Cause

The internal background job sending emails for the same notification was triggered multiple times.

Resolution

This is a known issue and is expected to be patched by September 30th.
