3803991 - Object Creation Approval Workflow Not Triggering On Hire Wizard - Employee Central

A business rule has been configured on an object (e.g. 'Vendor' / 'Vendor Info' object for Contingent Workers / Work Order) which triggers a workflow with an approval step when a new iteration of the object is created (e.g. a new 'Vendor').

This rule triggers and the workflow is created successfully if the object is created via 'Manage Data', but the workflow is not triggered (and the object is not created/saved) if the object is created during the Hire Wizard process.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Log into environment
2. Go to Hire Wizard (e.g. 'Add Contingent Worker')
3. Fill in employee details, get to the relevant object field (e.g. 'Vendor' field in Work Order information)
4. Select the 'plus' (+) icon to create a new iteration of the object
5. Fill in the information, save
6. Rule trace shows the rule triggered and set the workflow, but the workflow did not trigger, nor did the object get created

This is a known gap / limitation as of the current product.
