Symptom

  • Error when selecting SAP Secured Login Profile in the EPM add-in connection.
  • Error message: "Invalid provider type specified".
  • Error message: "There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. See inner exception for more details. Encountered unexpected character '<'."
  • Error message: "Certificate-based client authentication is not supported in TransportCredentialOnly security mode. Select the Transport security mode."
  • "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." appears in the EPM error dialog/logs.
