Symptom
- Trying to configure a Google BigQuery connection in the BI server and Information Design Tool (IDT) by the first time.
- Once following the KBA 3288367 to create a JDBC Connection, downloading the drivers from https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/reference/odbc-jdbc-drivers, connection failed with error: "Java class not found in classpath:com.simba.googlebigquery.jdbc42.Driver"
- Once following the KBA 2944991 and using the driver for BusinessObjects OpenConnectivity, the connection works - tested successfully, however, NO tables are listed under the BigQuery schema in IDT.
- Initially, after Inserting tables into a Data Foundation, IDT failed with error: "Session ID was not specified". Issue described on KBA: 3587256 - “Session ID was not specified” when inserting a table in IDT (fixed in BI 4.3 SP04 Patch 13)
- Later on, No tables were displayed under the BigQuery schema in IDT and the error message: "Invalid expression: Unexpected Behavior" was displayed.
