3804126 - Time sheet submission blocked by error message "Sorry, there are errors on this time sheet. Please resolve the errors before you submit."

Manual or automatic submission of time sheet fails with: "Sorry, there are errors on this time sheet. Please resolve the errors before you submit."

Submission is blocked by system error code: TS_SUBMISSION_NOT_ALLOWED_AS_BLOCKING_ACTION_ALERT_EXIST.

• A blocking alert exists: timeAccountPostingErrorAlert with message "We couldn’t process the saved time recording as the time account type for time off in lieu wasn’t found in the time profile. Please contact your system administrator."
• Validation messages aren’t shown in detail to the user; only a generic error appears.

1. Open Time Sheet for an affected user and period.
2. Submit the time sheet manually.
3. Observe the generic submission error and blocked status.

There're two possible reasons for this error: 

1. There's a time valuation configured Message Type as "Alert and Error".
   An error message is shown on the Time Sheet UI and the employee can save the time record but can’t submit the Time Sheet.

2. A time account posting error is raised because periodic time container produces a posting related to Time Off in Lieu (TOIL), but the Time Profile assigned to the employee doesn’t include a Time Account Type for TOIL.
   The error message will not display on the time sheet UI if the permission for object "timeAccountPostingErrorAlert" is missing.

For scenario A, please review the time valuation trace and remove the record which failed the validation. 

For scenario B. 

• If TOIL is intended:
  • Add and configure the appropriate TOIL Time Account Type in the Time Profile..
• If TOIL is NOT intended:
  •  Do not set the Valuation Result Category of period time container as Overtime Premium or Overtime Base (if the Default Overtime Compensation Variant is Time Off)
