3804146 - FX rates not updated for a given date - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When using Request Current Market Data, a generic message may appear: "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component FIN-FSCM-TRM-BF."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Check FX rates for the target date in the system and observe that no rates are available.
  2. Start the app Request Current Market Data for that date; the following error displayed: "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component FIN-FSCM-TRM-BF.".

Cause

  • Intermittent unavailability or delay of market data for the requested date when using the datafeed.
  • The current market data job not able to request FX rates for a past date/time.

Resolution

  1. Open the app Request Historical Market Data.
  2. Enter parameters for the missing date, select the required currency pairs and market data categories.
  3. Execute the request and wait for completion.
  4. Verify if the required FX rates are now available.
