3804283 - Completed form not visible to New Performance Manager after EM/EX change via Employee Profile- SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

The Performance forms are are in Completed stage and the employee’s Performance Manager (EM) and Additional Manager (EX) are changed via UI UDF, the newly assigned EX can view the completed form while the newly assigned EM cannot.

Product: SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

1. Log in to the instance.
2. Launch a form for an employee.
3. Complete the form until it reaches Completed status.
4. Update the employee’s EM and EX through Employee profile.
5. Confirm the changes are saved and reflected.
6. Proxy as the new EX and navigate to the completed performance form.
7. Verify the completed performance form is visible to the EX.
8. Proxy as the new EM and navigate to the same completed performance form.
9. Observe the completed performance form is not visible to the EM.

When EM and EX are updated simultaneously via the UserInfo block, a known defect (SFEDU-21126) prevents the document transfer for the Performance Manager from running, so the new EM does not receive access.

• Workaround: Update manager fields separately. Perform two saves when using Employee Profile/UserInfo—first change either EM or EX, save, then change the other, and save again.
• For already impacted forms, edit and save the Performance Manager field alone (no other changes) to initiate document transfer and restore access for the new EM.
  
  
  
• Permanent fix: A correction is planned for the 2H 2026 release. Refer to the patch details page and apply the update when available.
