3804406 - Conversion factors reset in Purchasing Info Records after saving changes in Manage Purchasing Info Records app — SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When a Purchasing Info Record (PIR) with a conversion factor maintained at condition scale level (e.g., 5 KG = 1 BAG) is modified and saved through the Manage Purchasing Info Records Fiori app (F1982), the conversion factor is reset to 1 when subsequently viewed in the Change Purchasing Info Record app (ME12).
• This occurs even when the change made in the Fiori app is unrelated to conditions or scales (e.g., updating the Supplier Material Number).
• The original conversion factor was correctly maintained and visible in ME12 prior to the Fiori app save.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Change Purchasing Info Record (ME12) app, navigate to the purchasing info record, and open Conditions > Scales > Conversion factors. Note the existing conversion factor (for example, 5 KG = 1 Bag).
2. Open the Manage Purchasing Info Records (F1982) app and edit the same purchasing info record.
3. Change a field (for example, supplier material number) and save.
4. Return to ME12 and navigate to Conditions > Scales > Conversion factors.
5. Observe that the conversion factor has been reset to 1 instead of retaining the previous value.

The Manage Purchasing Info Records app (F1982) does not fully support condition scales and conversion factors. When changes are saved, the conditions block is rewritten without preserving conversion factor data, causing it to reset to 1.

This is a known limitation with no standard fix currently available for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Workaround: All changes involving conversion factors, condition scales, or supplementary conditions must be made exclusively through the Change Purchasing Info Record (ME12) app.
