3804466 - Screen Reader Announces Incorrect Row Count in Library Table on Item Details Page

Symptom

When using the JAWS screen reader on the Item > Libraries tab, the row count announced for the library table is inflated and does not reflect the actual number of associated libraries displayed. 

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Learning Administration > go to Item that has at least 2 associated library
  2. Open screen reader (e.g. JAWS)
  3. While in item record > navigate to Libraries tab
  4. Press tab to select the library table (which contains 2 associated libraries)
  5. Results: JAWS is reading the library table as "11 rows" instead of there are only 2 rows with data.

Code correction will be delivered with the 2H2026 release (Preview: October 12; Production: November 13–14).
