Symptom
The purpose of this KBA is to help SAP customers obtain a general idea of potential fixed situations in Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 16.1 SP00 PL02. Please be sure to read the Disclaimer below.
If the EBF/SP has been released, check the CR list and coverletter at the support.sap.com.
Disclaimer: This document lists the targeted (not committed) release dates and the targeted fixed CR list for each release. Please be aware that the purpose of this posting is solely to provide you, our customers with estimated release dates and targeted CR lists. SAP does not commit to releasing on the specified dates or to including the CR fixes in the said release. While every effort will be made to meet the said targets, changes can occur at any time. It is also possible (although unlikely) that SAP may decide not to release an EBF/SP that was previously scheduled for release.
| CR Number | Description |
|---|---|
| 831557 | In rare circumstances, Rep Agent may skip a TEXTINSERT log record. When this occurs in an HADR setup, the SRS Capture thread terminates with an error #74056 for inconsistent LOB block length. See KBA 3115211. |
| 831684 | Poor performance and high engine utilization can be seen on active servers when the monitoring options "statement pipe active" and/or "statement statistics active" are active. Also in rare circumstances, when a shared memory dump is in progress, ASE may become unresponsive. See KBA 3752594. |
| 831971 | The Secondary Truncation Point of all the replicated databases of an HADR system may stop moving. See KBA 3742840. |
| 832015 | The message, "Current process infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)", together with a stack trace which includes the module 's_execute' may be reported in the SAP ASE error log after the message "SIGSEGV is caught by VEH_execute()" is reported from a query using a TUDF. See KBA 3745284. |
| 832162 | Hardening of connections across ssl and non ssl ports. |
| 832398 | The message, "Current process infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)", in the module 'mbkt_do_alloc' together with a stack trace which includes the modules 'form_and_send_audit_syslog' and 'rvm__audit_table_view_access' may be reported in the SAP ASE error log when a stored procedure that has parameters is executed while auditing is enabled and the audit trail type is set to 'syslog'. This may result in an implicit shutdown of SAP Adaptive Server. |
