3804678 - Japanese characters in payment media filename automatically replaced by "#" after being downloaded - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When downloading payment media files from Manage Payment Media App, the Japanese characters in the filename were automatically replaced by “#”.

1. Run automatic payments to generate payment medium files.
2. Download the payment medium files from Maintain Payment Media App.
3. Observe that Japanese characters in the downloaded filename are replaced by “#”.

This is a known issue when the Business Add-In (BAdI) "Payment Medium: Change File Name" (ID FBL_EVENT_21) is used.

The correction is planned to be delivered with Hotfix Collection S/4HANA Public Cloud 2608 HFC06 of which the implementation will take place in the next maintenance window around November 8, 2026.

For the time being, consider modifying the file name manually after downloading per business requirement.
