3804806 - Error when running Handle Your Extensions app in test tenant during Test Data Refresh (SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition)

Symptom

  • An error occurs when attempting to run the "Handle Your Extensions" app on a test/quality tenant during a Test Data Refresh task.

Error message: "You cannot use the app in this tenant because it does not support any refresh scenario. Please use the app in the correct source tenant. For more information, see here."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Handle Your Extensions app in a test/quality tenant.
  2. Observe that the error message is displayed.

Cause

The app is designed to run only in the source (production) tenant.

Test/quality target tenants do not support refresh scenarios, which leads to the error.

Resolution

Run the Handle Your Extensions app in the source (production) tenant instead of a test/quality target tenant.
