3804865 - Create Option Not Available After Importing Spreadsheet for External Billing Document Request

Symptom

When creating an External Billing Document Request via Spreadsheet Import in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the Create option is not available after importing the Microsoft Excel file.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Billing Document Requests app
  2. Select Create option
  3. Navigate to the area for “Create External Billing Document Requests”
  4. Select Import from Microsoft Excel File to upload the spreadsheet
  5. Notice that the Create option is not available.

Cause

The issue occurs because the imported spreadsheet contains invalid or inconsistent records. The system validates the data provided in the spreadsheet before allowing the External Billing Document Request to be created.

Resolution

Ensure that the spreadsheet contains valid and accurate data before importing it into the system. If the imported file contains invalid records, navigate to the Error tab to identify the affected records and review the corresponding error details.

Correct the erroneous data in the spreadsheet and import the file again. Once all errors are resolved and the file contains valid data, the Create option will become available, allowing you to successfully create the External Billing Document Request.
