3805170 - SAPUI5 Custom Application Returns 404 for Control Resources After Patch Update — Case-Sensitive Resource Resolution

Symptom

  1. After applying a SAPUI5 patch update, custom freestyle UI5 applications throw 404 errors for JavaScript resources (e.g., select.js, column.js, Hbox.js, link.js).
  2. Application fails to load or navigate, blocking end users.
  3. Browser developer tools show failed resource requests with lowercase paths, e.g.: ../sap/m/select.js (404) instead of ../sap/m/Select.js (200).
  4. The issue does not reproduce on the previous SAPUI5 patch level.
  5. The issue is isolated to custom-developed UI5 applications; standard SAP Fiori apps are not affected.
