Symptom
Additional search identifier configuration is not applied when using Recommend to Peer from within a program’s item action menu.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Learning.
- Open a program that contains a course item.
- From the program, open the action menu next to the item (for example, next to “Continue Course”).
- Choose “Recommend to Peer”.
- Enter a search term for users. Observe that the user dropdown does not display the additional identifier (for example, email) for the returned users.
- For comparison, open the item detail page for the same item and use “Recommend to Peer” with the same search term. Observe that the additional identifier now displays.
Cause
A product defect caused the additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch setting not to be applied in the program-based Recommend to Peer user search.
Resolution
- A code correction has been implemented and is planned for delivery with the 2H2026 release.
- As a temporary workaround, initiate “Recommend to Peer” from the item detail page, where the additional identifier displays as expected.
- Ensure the configuration additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch=emailAddress (or the desired identifier) is set in SEARCH so the identifier displays once the fix is available.
