3805478 - CKMLCP preparation step fails with runtime error

• Error during preparation step of CKMLCP. Background job is cancelled with runtime error ITAB_ILLEGAL_SORT_ORDER.
• CKMLCP Preparation step throws a runtime error (ITAB_UNSORTED_APPEND) when run across multiple plants.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app CKMLCP and start a costing run.
2. Complete the Selection step successfully.
3. Launch the Preparation step; the job terminates with runtime error ITAB_ILLEGAL_SORT_ORDER.

Known defect in CKMLCP that occurs when the costing run processes materials across multiple plants with cross-period production orders.

1. This is a known bug in CKMLCP that occurs when the costing run processes materials spanning multiple plants with cross-period production orders. A hotfix has already been developed and is confirmed to be delivered to your system on October 12.
2. As a workaround, run the Preparation step separately for each plant. You can execute Settlement and Post Closing across all plants as usual.
