Symptom
- The generated correspondence form output is missing details.
- In print preview, the fields for the accounting clerk’s name, telephone number, and email address are blank.
- The generated XML for the document does not contain values for the accounting clerk fields (for example, the field bound to $.Receiver.AcctgClerkLastname is empty).
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Correspondence (Public Cloud)
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a correspondence document.
- Open the print preview and observe that the accounting clerk contact fields are blank.
Cause
- The accounting clerk contact data is derived from the Business User assigned to the accounting clerk. The fields are empty if the accounting clerk is not assigned in the Business Partner Correspondence section and/or the assigned user’s contact data (name, telephone, email) is not maintained. Consequently, the related XML nodes are not filled.
Resolution
- Open the Define Accounting Clerk app and identify the user (CB user) assigned to the relevant accounting clerk.
- Open the Maintain Business Users app and verify that the user’s name, telephone number, and email address are maintained.
- If details are missing, open the Manage Workforce app and maintain the required contact information.
- Open the Manage Business Partner app and, under Company Code data, assign the appropriate accounting clerk in the Correspondence section.
- Generate the account statement using the Create Correspondence app.
- Verify that the accounting clerk’s name, telephone number, and email address appear in print preview and the final form.
