3805694 - Error "The data source is not available on the tenant and can’t be refreshed" - SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office

• Error message: "The data source DS_NAME is not available on the tenant and therefore can’t be refreshed."
• The issue is not reproducible in an SAP Analytics Cloud story in a browser for the same model and user.
• Often seen after transporting data models and SAC Add‑in reports between tenants, opening a report in the add‑in leads to an error on refresh.

1. Open an SAP Analytics Cloud, add‑in for Microsoft Office report that was transported from one tenant to another.
2. Sign in and attempt to refresh the data.
3. Observe the error 
   "The data source DS_NAME is not available on the tenant and therefore can’t be refreshed."

SAC add‑in workbooks retain the original tenant URL and do not update to the target tenant, so the add‑in references a data source not available on the current tenant.

1. Open the affected workbook in the SAP Analytics Cloud, add‑in for Microsoft Office.
2. In the Login panel, choose Replace Tenant.
3. Enter the URL of the target (current) tenant, then choose Save and Close.
4. It is also necessary to clear the add-in cache in Excel after replacing the tenant. See step 6 of chapter "Tenant Configuration"
