3805728 - Inconsistency in Organization, Employee Type, Job Position, Job Location and Target Job Position fields display on user profile

In Learning Administration user profiles, the Organization, Employee Type, Job Position, Job Location and Target Job Position fields display inconsistently: for some users only the description is displayed, while others show the description followed by the ID in parentheses.

1. Access Learning Administration >
2. Go to People > Users and search for a user >
3. Open the user profile >
4. Observe that Organization, Employee Type, Job Position, Job Location and Target Job Position fields show only the description >
5. Search for a different user >
6. Open the user profile >
7. Observe that the same fields show the description followed by the ID in parentheses.

• Certain fields are associated with the Position field: Organization, Employee Type, Job Position, Job Location, and Target Job Position.
• For these associated fields, the display value on the user profile is affected by whether the Position field is populated for that user.
• If the Position field is populated, the system displays only the description for associated fields. If not populated, the system displays the description together with the ID.

• The Position field is a legacy field and it should not be populated on the users' profile.
• If assistance is required to adjust integrations and mappings or correct existing user data, it is advised to work with a partner or engage SAP Professional Services.
• Note that the Position field and the Position Connector are legacy features and their use is not recommended, they may be decommissioned in the future.
