3805774 - Cannot import private key for file signing in Integration Center

Symptom

There's no available option to import a private key into SuccessFactors to be used in Integration Center for file signing. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Platform
    • Security Center
    • Integration Center

Reproducing the Issue

Resolution

  • SuccessFactors only supports importing public keys - private keys cannot be imported by design, as a private key is meant to remain on the system where it was originally generated (refer to Managing PGP Keys | SAP Help Portal).
  • You can generate a signing key pair directly in SuccessFactors under Security Center > Other Keys (refer to Generating Other Keys | SAP Help Portal).
    • This will securely keep the generated private key within SuccessFactors internally (it can't be downloaded), and allows you to download the corresponding public key.
