FAQ
Learning Assistant
- Q: Do users need to include "@Learning Assistant" in every prompt?
A: No. Once an assistant is selected, that choice remains active throughout the conversation. In the full Joule experience, selecting the appropriate assistant helps deliver more relevant responses.
Learning Assignment Agent
- Q: Does the Learning Assignment Agent respect library access restrictions?
A: Yes. Existing library access permissions are honored during the assignment process. - Q: How does the Learning Assignment Agent handle course prerequisites?
A: The agent uses the existing Learning Assignment Profile engine, ensuring that configured prerequisites remain enforced. However, it doesn’t currently identify or recommend prerequisite courses automatically. This is being considered as future enhancement. - Q: Which security domain is applied when creating an assignment profile?
A: By default, the logged-in Learning Administrator's security domain is used for assignment profiles, courses, and users involved in the transaction. For new profiles, Learning Administrators can request a different security domain. - Q: How are AND/OR rules interpreted in assignment profiles prompts?
A: Related alternatives are grouped using “OR” logic and then combined with other criteria using “AND” logic. Ex.: Country = Germany/India/US with “OR” + Org. = ACME with “AND”. - Q: Does the Learning Assignment Agent reuse existing assignment profiles?
A: By default, it searches for existing profiles that target the same audience and recommends reusing or updating them. Learning Administrators may still choose to create a new profile. - Q: Can the Learning Assignment Agent modify or deactivate existing assignment profiles?
A: Not currently. While courses can be added when an existing profile is reused, profile rules cannot be modified through the agent. Support for profile updates is being considered as future enhancement. - Q: Learning Assignment Agent: How long is the undo option available, and when are notifications sent?
A: Assignments can be undone during the current session. Once the session ends or the Learning Administrator leaves the page, changes are committed and can no longer be reversed. Learning plan notifications are sent at that point.
Learning Compliance Management Agent
- Q: Learning Compliance Management Agent: What’s generated by the "Add course to my calendar" and "Block time for course" options?
A: Both options generate calendar invitations in ICS format that can be consumed by supported email and calendar applications.
Learning Skills Agent
- Q: Will the Learning Skills Agent recommend courses that increase proficiency, and what happens when data is insufficient?
A: The agent recommends courses that help users progress to higher proficiency levels. If insufficient data is available, the agent identifies the limitation and responds accordingly. - Q: Is Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) required for all Learning agents?
A: No. TIH is only required for the Learning Skills Agent. - Q: Who can use the Learning Skills Agent?
A: The agent is focused on Learning Managers, allowing them to review skill gaps for individual direct reports. A team-level view is planned as future enhancement. - Q: Does the Learning Skills Agent use enhanced search?
A: No. The agent relies on skills-based Learning APIs. Users must have skills in Growth Portfolio, and Learning courses must be associated with relevant skills.
