3806138 - Updating an existing team fails in Manage Teams and Responsibilities using the Import Teams feature — SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When using the Import Teams feature in the Manage Teams and Responsibilities app, editing an existing team fails.
• The following errors are recorded in the Import Logs:
  • "Global Team ID <ID> already exists or is scheduled to be available in future".
  • "Team name <name> already exists or is scheduled to be available in future".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. 

1. In the Manage Teams and Responsibilities app, choose Export Teams and export the relevant team data.
2. Update the exported file to edit the existing team. For example adding a new Team member. 
3. Choose Manage Imports → Import Teams and upload the updated file.
4. Choose Manage Imports → Check Import Status and observe the recorded errors.

The Import Teams feature is designed for new team creation only. It does not support updates to an existing team.

To edit an existing team, use the Manage Teams and Responsibilities app directly.

1. Navigate to the Manage Teams and Responsibilities application. 
2. Select the team to update.
3. Choose Edit.   
4. Make the desired changes to the Team. For example adding a new Team Member. 
5. Choose Save.
