3806144 - How Scrap Quantity Works in Production Order Confirmations and Affects Order Settlement

Symptom

It is not clear how to record scrap in a production order confirmation, what effect the scrap quantity has on the partial/final confirmation determination, how scrap influences the order balance, or how to settle a production order correctly when scrap has occurred. Questions arise about whether scrap should be entered in the confirmation (CO11/CO11N), how scrap quantity relates to yield and rework quantities, whether a confirmation becomes partial or final when scrap is entered, what happens to the costs corresponding to the scrapped quantity, and how to adjust the settlement rule to prevent the material's average price from being inflated by scrap.
