3806274 - "Internal session terminated with a runtime error TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED (see ST22)" Error in Migration Cockpit Simulation

You are performing a migration, however during the simulation the system raises the following error in the result messages:

"Internal session terminated with a runtime error TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED (see ST22)"

The issue persists even after modifying the number of transfer jobs, as suggested in KBA 3580792 - "Modifying Data Transfer Jobs to improve the data transfer performance of the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit - Migrate Data Using Staging Tables in S/4 HANA Public Cloud "

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Migrate Your Data app.
2. Open the migration project.
3. For the migration object desired, click on the dropdown button under the Actions column.
4. Click on Simulate.
5. Click on the desired selection, then confirm to start the simulation.
6. Click on the Monitoring button to open the project monitor.
7. Once the migration is completed, click to show the error logs.

The TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED happens when the system is not able to allocate enough memory to the migration activity.

The same can be remediated by changing the number of transfer jobs, however depending on the stage of the migration object in the project, a change in the transfer jobs may not be applied immediately to the staging tables.

In order to ensure that changes performed in the number of Transfer Jobs is applied to the migration object to ensure enough memory is available, it is suggested that the staging table preparation is re-executed.

In order to perform this procedure:

1. Open the Migrate Your Data app.
2. Open the migration project.
3. For the migration object desired, click on the dropdown button under the Actions column.
4. Click on Prepare.
5. Click to start the preparation of the staging tables.

After the preparation is completed, proceed to execute a new simulation/migration attempt.
