Symptom
- In Fiori Elements apps using sap.fe.macros.Table or sap.ui.mdc.Table with type="GridTable" and row-level navigation, row navigation works initially but stops after using the native table “Settings” dialog to add/show/modify columns.
- Error shown in console: “The object with ID __itemX-__cloneXXX was destroyed and cannot be used anymore.”
- Stack trace includes onRowActionPress in GridTableType-dbg.js.
- The application rowPress handler is not executed because the failure occurs in SAP UI5 framework code beforehand.
- Permanent/reproducible framework issue affecting any app using GridTable with row navigation when column personalization is enabled.
Environment
- Product: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition ;
- SAP UI5 table, smart table, list and tree controls
- Fiori Elements using sap.fe.macros.Table or sap.ui.mdc.Table with type="GridTable" and row-level navigation
Reproducing the Issue
- Open a Fiori Elements app using sap.fe.macros.Table (or sap.ui.mdc.Table) with type="GridTable" and row-level navigation.
- Click a row and verify navigation works.
- Open the native table “Settings” dialog and add/show/modify any column.
- Apply/confirm the personalization change.
- Click a row again and observe that navigation no longer occurs and the console error appears.
Resolution
The fix is already delivered in patch 1.148.7, as well as in 1.151.1, and starting from version 1.152.
For apps run on the SAP BTP Cloud Portal service, the fix will automatically become available as soon as the service should picks up 1.151.1 (or later).
