Symptom
The data in Slow or Non-Moving Materials is different from the data in Material Document Overview.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to App Slow or Non-Moving Materials.
- Filter by a specific material, plant, and reference day.
- Note the Date of Last Consumption and Date of Last Posting shown in the app.
- Go to App Material Document Overview.
- Filter by the same material.
- Observe that material documents exist with posting dates that appear later than the dates shown in App Slow or Non-Moving Materials.
Cause
This is the designed system behavior. Slow or Non-Moving Materials evaluates only material and storage location combinations with non-zero stock.
Resolution
In Slow or Non-Moving Materials, the entry represents the material and storage location with non-zero stock only and the data represents the goods movements of this material in a certain storage location.
- Date of Last Posting refers to the latest material document posted for the same storage location.
- Date of Last Consumption refers to the latest consuming material document posted for the same storage location.
Note: The consuming material document is determined by the filter Inventory Consumption Group. Only movement types assigned to the selected group are counted as consumption. The configuration of the group can be confirmed in SSCUI 103204 (Define Inventory Consumption Groups). If the SAP provided default group 000 is selected, whether a material document is regarded as a consuming material document depends on the movement type. In this case, only movement types that have a correct consumption posting indicator in SSCUI 103898 (Copy Movement Type) will be regarded as consuming.
