Symptom
- There is a business requirement to restrict Cost Accounting (CO) postings for selected users, for example non-Finance users, after a month-end cutoff while still allowing Finance users to continue posting.
- The Manage Posting Periods – Cost Accounting (F4684) app can be used to open and close posting periods for cost accounting transactions. However, after the relevant CO posting period or business transaction is closed, selected users cannot be excluded from the period restriction.
- A user-dependent exception to a closed CO posting period is required.
