- Users want to include a custom field as a token in a certificate of completion template.
- The certificate editor shows only default system tags/tokens and provides no option to add custom tokens.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the certificate of completion template in Learning administration.
- Review the available tags/tokens presented by the template editor.
- Attempt to reference an custom field in the template.
- Observe that no custom field token is available and the custom attribute cannot be referenced.
Cause
The current system design does not support adding custom tokens to the certificate of completion template. Only standard tokens are available.
Resolution
- Use the available standard tokens provided by the certificate editor.
- If you would like to have this functionality of adding custom field as a token included in a future release, you can create an enhancement request as explained in the KBA 2090228 - How to Submit Enhancement Requests for SAP SuccessFactors Products. All enhancement requests are reviewed by our Product Management team and, if successful, are developed and implemented in a future product release.
