3806873 - GSTR1 generation fails with error "Value is not of the min. required length 1- Base unit" (SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition)

An error occurs while generating GSTR1 report in the Run Statutory Reports app "Value is not of the min. required length 1- Base unit".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Run the application "Run Statutory Reports".
2. Select the Report Name, Reporting Entity, Reporting Year and Click on Go.
3. Generate the GSTR1 report.
4. In the generated report run, open the Document Log section.
5. The error "Value is not of the min. required length 1 - Base unit" is displayed.

1. Check the relevant source document and ensure that a valid Base Unit of Measure is maintained for the affected item.
2. Ensure that the required unit of measure is correctly mapped to the corresponding unit quantity code used by the tax authorities.
3. In the configuration activity 'Map Unit Quantity Codes to SAP-specific Unit of Measurement' (SSCUI ID- 102235), maintain the required mapping between the tax-authority unit quantity code and the corresponding SAP unit of measurement(MU).
4. Regenerate the GSTR1 report.
