Symptom

  • In transaction CKW4, activation of a production lot cost estimate fails.
  • System issues message CKWB003 'Error cost estimate for material XXXX in plant XXXX cannot be activated' at activation.
  • CKW3 shows errors for the WBS element in the failing scenario.
  • In logs of CKW3, message CK 168 is observed for the header material in the failing scenario.
  • A contrasting scenario exists where CKW4 activation succeeds even though CKW3 lists errors at lower levels.
