• Workflow approval notification e-mails generated in non-production tenants contain the production hostname in the embedded approval URLs or vice versa.
• Workflow instances exist in the non-production tenants, but the URLs embedded in the notification e-mails differ from the actual tenant URLs.
• Area where the issue is experienced: workflow notification; category: issue with automatic workflow system e-mails.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Generate a workflow approval notification e-mail in a non-production tenant.
2. Open the e-mail and inspect the embedded approval URL.
3. Observe that the URL contains the production hostname instead of the non-production hostname.

 or  Vice versa

• The workflow e-mail template in the non-production tenant contains a hard-coded production tenants URL.

1. Review the workflow e-mail template(s) used for approval notifications in each non-production tenant.
2. Locate any hard-coded hostnames within the embedded approval URLs.
3. Replace the production hostname with the correct hostname of the respective non-production tenant.
4. Save and activate the updated template(s).
5. If templates are transported between tenants, ensure:
6. 1. Before transporting to production: confirm the template in the source system does not contain non-target hostnames for the destination.
7. 2. After any transport is finished: adjust the hostname in the template to the non-production tenant’s hostname, if it was inherited as production.
8. Trigger a new workflow approval notification and verify that the embedded approval URL points to the correct non-production tenant.
