3807250 - Validation error when adding VLS configuration for Microsoft Teams: "confidential client not supported" - SAP SuccessFactors Learning

• When adding a new VLS configuration for Microsoft Teams, a validation error occurs.
• Error: "The connection with the VLS Vendor cant be established. Please review the error message provided by the VLS Vendor, update the configuration and try again." 
• "aadsts900382: confidential client is not supported in cross cloud request."

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Open Learning Administration.
2. Navigate to VLS Configuration and select Add New.
3. Choose VLS Vendor: Microsoft Teams.
4. Enter a VLS ID and Description.
5. Provide the required configuration fields (Client ID, Directory/Tenant ID, Secret).
6. Click Add and observe the validation error.

• Microsoft Teams VLS integration with SAP SuccessFactors Learning does not currently support GCC High (Azure Government) tenants.
• GCC High operates in a separate cloud with distinct authentication and API endpoints that the standard Microsoft Graph API integration for the commercial environment does not accommodate, leading to aadsts900382.

1. Verify the Microsoft tenant type used for the VLS integration.
2. If the tenant is GCC High (Azure Government), note that this integration is currently not supported and the configuration cannot be completed.
3. If this functionality is required, submit an enhancement request so the product team can evaluate feasibility: 2090228 – How to submit enhancement requests for SAP SuccessFactors products.
