3807291 - Applications Auto-Created via Bundle IDP in IAS Use OpenID Connect Instead of SAML 2.0 in Datasphere

When an Application is automatically created in SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) via Bundle IDP, the protocol type is set to OpenID Connect by default.

This is the expected behavior. Applications automatically created in SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) via Bundle IDP use OpenID Connect as the protocol type by default.

Please note the following:

• The protocol type of Applications auto-created via Bundle IDP is OpenID Connect and cannot be changed to SAML 2.0.
• If SAML 2.0 is required, it is recommended to manually create a new Application in IAS and configure the protocol type as SAML 2.0 accordingly.
• The behavior difference between auto-created and manually created Applications is by design and is not a defect.
