3807342 - Invalid lock entries in Create Reminders app with message "Lock entries exist: incorrect" in S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

Symptom

  • When viewing lock entries for a reminder run in the Create Reminders app, the run displays a red exclamation mark next to the Lock field and lock entries are flagged as invalid.
  • Error message: "Lock entries exist: incorrect."
  • Error message variant: "Blocking entries exist: incorrect."
  • Actions to manage locks are unavailable: lock entries cannot be selected, unlocked, or otherwise acted upon.
  • The affected dunning run continues to block the included business partners; they cannot be unlocked.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Create Reminders app.
  2. Choose Menu -> Jump -> Lock Entries.
  3. Enter the affected reminder run identification and the run date, then start.
  4. Observe that the run shows a red exclamation next to Lock and the lock entries are invalid.

Cause

  • The dunning run proposal phase completed, but the output/printing step did not complete (for example, print job failure, missing/incorrect output parameter determination, or an interruption during printing).
  • The system removes MAHNS lock entries only after successful printing; because printing did not complete, MAHNS entries remained although the run was marked completed.
  • This mismatch leads to the red exclamation and the message indicating incorrect/blocked lock entries.
  • In some variants, a MAHNS entry exists with a run date but no run ID (orphan entry). In the public cloud, direct table changes are not possible; standard app-based paths must be used.

Resolution

  1. Open the "Create Dunning Notices" app (F150/F2435).
  2. Enter the same parameters: Run On date = 03.03.2026, Identification = 3500SK.
  3. Navigate to Dunning Notices.
  4. Trigger a Sample Printout, set No. of sample printouts = 1, and display the output.
  5. The system should recognize the existing run context and clear the stale MAHNS entries, releasing the blocked business partners.
