3807350 - Responsibilities Dropdown Shows All Business Users In Project Brief App

In the Project Brief app, the Responsibilities resource dropdown shows all business users, including when selecting "Project Financial Controller" or "Steering Committee member".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an investment project in the Project Control – Enterprise Projects app.
2. Open the Project Briefs app.
3. Enter the project number and start the search.
4. Select Edit, scroll to the Responsibilities section, and choose Create.
5. Select role "Project Financial Controller" or "Steering Committee member" and open Resource search.

The resource dropdown in the Responsibilities section of the Project Briefs app displays all available business partners linked to business users in the system. The system does not filter this list based on which system-level business role (such as SAP_BR_PROJ_FIN_CONTROLLER) is assigned to each user.

The reason is that there are two separate concepts at play here. The system-level business role controls app and transactional access. The project responsibility role assigned in Project Briefs is a project-specific assignment that grants that user authorization to view or change only that particular project, independent of their system role.
