3807528 - Revenue accounting contract start/end date shifts due to user time zone conversion

• When creating a revenue accounting contract from a released service contract, the POB start and end dates do not match the service contract line item start and end dates.
• A creation timestamp close to end-of-day (for example, around 23:59:29) results in a one-day shift after contract creation.
• Depending on the user's region/time zone, the end date may be extended by one day or the start date may be pushed forward by one day.
• No specific error message is displayed.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Release a service contract with line items that have defined start and end dates.
2. Create the revenue accounting contract from the release near the end of the day (for example, around 23:59:29).
3. Compare the POB start and end dates in the revenue contract with the service contract line items and observe a one-day difference depending on the user's time zone.

The service contract dates are stored in UTC. During revenue contract creation, the system converts these dates to the user's time zone, which can cause the start or end date to shift by one day.

1. Option 1 (recommended for simplicity): Before releasing the service contract, set the time zone of the user performing the release to UTC. Then release the contract and verify that the POB dates match the service contract line item dates.
2. Option 2 (for flexible control): Implement a customer BAdI FARR_BADI_ENRICH_ORDER_ITEM(see attachment) in the public cloud to set or adjust the POB start and end dates during revenue contract creation so they are not impacted by user time zone conversion.
3. After applying either option, retest by releasing a service contract and confirm that the POB dates align with the service contract line item dates.
