3807626 - Transfer of Inspection Lot Stock Between Plants Using the Transfer Inspection Stock (QAC2) App Is Not Available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

In the Transfer Inspection Stock (QAC2) application, the option to transfer stock based on the "Plant for Stock" field is not available. As a result, transferring inspection lot stock from one plant to another plant cannot be performed using the app.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. open Application "Transfer Inspection Stock" (QAC2).
  2. Select an inspection lot that has stock in quality inspection.
  3. Attempt to specify a target plant to move the inspection stock.
  4. Observe that the target plant field is not available and the plant-to-plant transfer cannot be performed.

Cause

This behavior is by design in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. The Transfer Inspection Stock (QAC2) app only supports the transfer of inspection lot stock between storage locations within the same plant. The inspection lot remains assigned to its original plant, and therefore direct transfer of inspection lot stock across different plants is not supported.

Resolution

As documented in the Stock Transfers app documentation, the Transfer Inspection Stock (QAC2) app is designed to transfer inspection stock only between physical locations (storage locations) within the same plant; therefore, plant-to-plant inspection stock transfers are not supported. If this functionality is required for the business process, submit an enhancement request through the Customer Influence Portal as described in KBA 2712608.
