Environment
S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open SSCUI 102592 - Set Country-Specific Checks.
- Select a country for which the business user left the Length of Bank Key empty when Bank Key = “4” Assign externally.
- Error occurs: " Rule for bank key is 4 - specify length of bank key".
Cause
Business users were able to save empty filled “Length of Bank Key” when the main parameter “Bank Key” was set to value 4 – Assign externally.
New check was introduced to prevent such unintended behavior and field “Length of Bank Key” is mandatory when “Bank Key” is set to 4 – Assign externally.
Resolution
- Check the “Length of Bank Key” when “Bank Key” = “4” settings in SSCUI 102592 based on country key.
- Ensure that the Length of Bank Key field is never left blank if Bank Key = “4” Assign externally.
