Symptom
When executing Classic Foreign Currency Valuation (FAGL_FCV), an ABAP runtime error occurs.
For example:
DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY
or
DDIC_TYPES_INCONSISTENT
The dump indicates an inconsistency between DDIC objects used by FAGL_FCV, for example:
FAGL_FC_S_CURR_CLEAR and FAGL_FC_S_CURR
or
FAGL_FC_T_POST and FAGL_FC_POST.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
Reproducing the Issue
- Execute Classic Foreign Currency Valuation (FAGL_FCV).
- A DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY or DDIC_TYPES_INCONSISTENT runtime error occurs.
Cause
One or more DDIC runtime objects used by Classic Foreign Currency Valuation are temporarily inconsistent.
This can occur following the transport or activation of related objects.
Resolution
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the inconsistent structures are automatically activated when FAGL_FCV is executed.
Rerun FAGL_FCV.
If another DDIC inconsistency runtime error occurs for a related structure, rerun FAGL_FCV again. Repeat the execution until the valuation completes successfully.
No manual activation of the affected DDIC structures is required.
