3808038 - Buyer Responsible not Shown in the Purchase Order Advanced Filter Value Help

In the Purchase Order advanced filter, the Buyer Responsible value help shows "No records found" for certain Employees.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
3. Select Advanced Filter.
4. In the Buyer Responsible field, open the value selector.
5. Search by User ABC or Employee ID . (ABC represents Username of the Buyer Responsible) 
   • For example, if Username is ABC DEF search using *ABC* or *DEF*  (ABC represents Firstname; DEF represents Lastname)

 The value help shows: No records found.

• The Buyer Responsible value help is designed to return only Business Partners with the "Employee" or "Contact Person" role.
• Users that have only the Service Agent role are not included in the Advanced Filter's Buyer Responsible value help.

To check for the Roles in Business Partner Master data, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Business Partner Data Work center.
2. Go to Business Partners view.
3. Select Active Business Partners from the drop-down.
4. Search for the relevant Business Partner by using User ABC.
5. Select Edit -> General.
6. In the General tab, the assigned roles can be viewed under "Business Partner Roles" section.

This is the standard system behaviour.

As a workaround, enter the Employee ID directly in the Buyer Responsible filter and follow the steps below:

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
3. Select Advanced Filter.
4. In the Buyer Responsible field, enter the Employee ID directly even it shows No search results.
5. Select Go.

System returns matching Purchase Orders even if the value help shows no records.
