3808677 - Cannot Create or Edit Currency Conversion Tables in Public Folders in SAP Analytics Cloud

• In SAP Analytics Cloud, users with Manage Permission on a Public Folder are unable to create or modify Currency Conversion Tables in that Public Folder.
• Currency Conversion Tables are shared with Edit rights, but editing the object in the Public Folder still fails.
• Requirement: allow creation and modification of Currency Conversion Tables in Public Folders while restricting Stories and Insight creation to Private Folders only. 

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.15.6 

1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Navigate to a Currency Conversion Table with Edit Rights placed in a Public Folder where you have Manage permission.
3. Attempt to modify the Currency Conversion Table or Create a new one.
4. Observe that the action is not permitted. 

Per the product design, in order to Create and Edit content and save it in a Public Folder, users need to be assigned Create Permission in the Public Folder. For other files, users can edit files if they are given editing access for the specific files. For more details on how permission in SAP Analytics Cloud work, refer to Privileges and Permissions | SAP Help Portal.

• If users must create new Currency Conversion Tables in a Public Folder, assign them to a role with Create permission on that Public Folder.
• If users should only edit an existing Currency Conversion Table in a Public Folder, share the Public Folder with View rights and share the specific Currency Conversion Table with Edit rights. 
• Ensure the assigned role includes the relevant Currency permissions and the necessary Private Folder permissions. 

As a result, users can manage Currency Conversion Tables and create stories, but cannot save files within the same Folder because the user does not have Create Files permission in the Folder itself.
