3808690 - Searching by Description in hierarchy member selector does not return matching members within the SAC Excel add-in – SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office

• Within the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in, when going to the 'Manage Filter' option and selecting 'Description' for the display and attempting to search for matching entries no data is returned even though members exist with the search text contained in the Description.
  • Example: If the dimension is a Date dimension and the description contains the Month (Jan, Feb etc.) then using Feb as the search text should return a list of members that contain Feb (Feb 2026, Feb 2025 etc.)
• If the display is changed to 'ID' for the dimension then the search will return any matching members that are entered into the search text.
• This behavior appears to occur for dimensions that contain a hierarchy.
