3808882 - Delete (X) option missing for assignment groups with long names in Manage Permission Roles - SAP SuccessFactors

• In Manage Permission Roles, assignment groups can be added, but when a permission group name is too long, the delete (X) icon isn't displayed.
• For long-named groups, the Delete (X) icon is not shown, so the group cannot be removed from the role.
• Shortening the permission group name makes the Delete (X) option visible.
• No error messages are displayed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Open Manage Permission Roles and edit a permission role.
2. Add a permission group with a long name to a role assignment.
3. Save and return to the role assignment view (for example, a group name as long as “SuccessFactors Demo Environment Permission Group for Extended Character Limit Validation Testing”).
4. Observe that the Delete (X) icon is missing for the long-named group, preventing removal.
   
   

Known product defect where long permission group names can prevent the Delete (X) icon from rendering in the role assignment UI. A fix is planned for production in 2H2026. No patch will be delivered due to available workarounds.

1. In the same page click on Select Groups:
   
2. In the group selection panel, locate the long-named group.
3. Click the Delete icon on the right side to remove the group:
   
4. Save the role.

Alternate workaround (if needed):

1. Edit the affected permission group and temporarily shorten its name.
2. Save the permission group.
3. Return to the permission role; the Delete (X) icon should now be visible.
