3808950 - Error C4828 “Values for object incomplete (characteristic & has no value)” in MM42/MM43 after product migration – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Error in MM42/MM43 when opening Variant for a generic product after migration: “Values for object incomplete (characteristic & has no value)” (Message no. C4828).
• Variants appear in the Manage Product Master Data app, but Variant processing in MM42/MM43 raises the error.

1. Migrate a generic product with its variants using the migration object “Product for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, retail, fashion, and vertical business” in the Migrate Your Data app.
2. Open the generic product in MM42/MM43 and choose Variant.
3. Observe error C4828: “Values for object incomplete (characteristic & has no value).”

Known regression in Variant Configuration affecting matrix processing in MM42/MM43 after migration, leading to inconsistent interface data for the variant matrix although variants exist.

Implement the software correction delivered for this regression. The fix is included with Hotfix Collection HFC04+ and corresponds to the corrections of SAP Note 3802166.
