3809129 - Accrual job posts periodic accruals for Draft or Hold purchase orders - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The periodic accrual job (Post Periodic Accruals for Purchase Orders) generates accrual postings for purchase orders that are not approved and show Draft status in the UI.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a Purchase Order and save as Hold status.
2. Ensure the purchase order document type and item category are configured as accrual-relevant.
3. Run the periodic job Post Periodic Accruals for Purchase Orders.
4. Observe that accrual postings are generated for the purchase order despite not being approved.

By design, Purchase Orders that are On Hold and Purchase Orders that are approved are in scope for accrual conversion and posting by default.

If needed, it is possible to adjust the selection criteria of the Accrual Engine by implementing Custom Logic for the Accrual-related BAdI like POAC_PO_SELECTION_FROM_DB and adding a filter condition for Draft Status (EKKO-PROCSTAT = 02).
