3809194 - Additional Data Collection missing after candidate completes Provide Personal Data with custom hire template - SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Candidate completed the Provide Personal Data step with a custom hire template providing required information on the portlet, but the Additional Data Collection data is missing from the employee profile.

1. Configure a custom hire template that includes an Additional Data Collection portlet built on an MDF object with a custom UI.
2. Have a candidate start the Provide Personal Data (PDC) step and enter the required information on the custom portlet.
3. Leave the PDC/Additional Data Collection page open for an extended period without submitting, then proceed with the onboarding flow to completion.
4. After the hire is completed, open the employee profile and check the Additional Data Collection section: the expected record is missing.

• Existing code issue: when a candidate keeps the PDC/Additional Data Collection page open for a long time and does not submit the page, data from hire templates configured with MDF objects may not be saved.

1. Be aware this is a known code issue planned to be fixed in the 2H2026 release.
2. As a preventive measure until the fix is delivered, instruct candidates and administrators to complete and submit the Provide Personal Data/Additional Data Collection page in a single session and avoid leaving the page open for extended periods without submitting.
3. After the 2H2026 upgrade, retest the onboarding flow with the custom hire templates and confirm that Additional Data Collection records are saved as expected.
