3809306 - Internal Error When Opening "Explore Recommended Roles" in Growth Portfolio

• An "Internal Error" is displayed on the Career Paths tab when navigating to Roles and Aspirations > Explore Recommended Roles in Growth Portfolio.

• Attempts to control or hide the Career Paths tab using Role-Based Permissions (RBP) are unsuccessful, as there is no direct RBP available to manage this tab.

• The behavior may vary depending on the user. Some users encounter the "Internal Error", while others can access Explore Recommended Roles but only see the Recommended Roles tab and not the Career Paths tab.

• SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub
• SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development

1. From the Home menu, navigate to Growth Portfolio.

2. Go to Roles and Aspirations and select Explore Recommended Roles.

3. Select the Career Paths tab.

4. Observe that an "Internal Error" is displayed.

The Career Path V2 feature is not enabled in Provisioning. As a result, the Career Path MDF object definition is not generated, which causes an Internal Error when the Career Paths tab is loaded in Growth Portfolio.

Enable the Career Path V2 feature in Provisioning. Enabling the feature is sufficient to generate the required Career Path MDF object definition.

No additional configuration is required, such as:

• Granting Role-Based Permissions (RBP) for Career Path V2.

• Creating or configuring career paths.

Note: An enhancement is planned to make the Career Paths page independent of the Career Path V2 feature. This enhancement is planned to be available in 2H 2026.
