3809316 - Database unresponsive with hdbsql failure and nameserver timeout after storage multipath path loss (HANA)

• The database became unresponsive; it was not possible to connect even using hdbsql.
• A takeover was performed to recover service while the database host was restarted.
• Indexserver errors: "failed to open channel x.x.x.x:30001", "Connect timed out after 180000 us", "nameserver ... not responding. retry in 5 sec...", "comm::connect ... Error: exception 1: no.2110018".
• Nameserver trace produced no entries for an extended period while other services reported timeouts to x.x.x.x:30001.
• OS messages showed multipath issues: "multipathd: path checkers took longer than 28 seconds", devices "mark as failed", and "remaining active paths: 0".
